Hastings Resort Steakhouse – Gilmour, ON

In June, Hubby and I went away for a weekend to Gilmour, which is about 30 mins south of Bancroft. We stayed at Hastings Resort, a hotel/chalet that is situated on Beaver Creek. The hotel is relatively new, so there are some kinks that needed to be sorted out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially since we were allowed to bring our dogs. There is a top-notch steakhouse on the resort property and Hubby and I couldn't stop raving about it. I actually bought food with us so we can make supper ourselves, but we ended up going to the restaurant twice during our trip. I forgot to take pictures of the food on the first night, but Hubby and I shared Scallops with Brie as our appetizer, I had the Honey Mustard Glazed Quail as my entree and creme brulee as my dessert. Here are some pictures for our second night:

The Menus were really neat. When you opened them, they lit up! I’ve never seen this concept before.

As our starter, Hubby and I chose the Crab Cakes. They were pan seared and served with chili lime aioli.

I started digging into the food, then I realized I didn’t take a photo yet! I had the Duck Breast, served with potatoes and blueberry drizzle.

Hubby had the Ribeye Steak.
