In my last post I reviewed Hot Belly Mama’s, a restaurant I ate at while visiting friends in Peterborough. On the second day of our visit, we went to La Hacienda, a restaurant that serves authentic Mexican cuisine – none of that Tex-mex stuffs! This is my second time there. The food is very tasty and service is pretty good. The decor is bright and colourful and with the Mexican music playing, it makes you want to get up and dance!

La Hacienda Menu
Our starter, Homemade nachos and guacamole.
I had the Fiesta De Mariscos, which is an assortment of seafood cooked in a spicy, salsa-like sauce. It is served in a extremely hot clay bowl – so hot the sauce was bubbling! It was really good, I had cheese added to the dish which added more textures to the dish. Rice, beans and salad is served with this dish.
DH’s Entree – Enchiladas de Mole, he really enjoyed it.
